Day of the Procedure
For laser hair removal please come with the area shaved (for the bikini please come with the area shaved to the look that you want). For large body areas such as the full back, chest and legs there is an additional $25 fee if we need to shave the area in the appointment. If you are unable to shave please let us know ahead of time so that we can add on additional time to your appointment.
For electrolysis we need there to be 3-4 days of hair growth present when you arrive to your treatment.
We ask that you arrive to your treatment with no lotions, sprays or creams in the treatment area. We also recommend limiting your caffeine consumption the day of your treatment(s).
Ten (10) days prior to your treatment discontinue use of the products (in the treatment area) listed below:
Sun Sensitizing Medications Including High Dose Antibiotics (Z-Pac used to treat various infections including Sinus, Tooth, Bladder, etc) **
Alpha Hydroxy (Glycolic or Lactic Acid)
Beta Hydroxy (Salicylic Acid)
Hydroquinone/Skin Bleaching Agents
Retinol Products (over the counter)
Three (3) weeks prior to your treatment avoid the use of these items below on the treatment area:
Discontinue waxing, tweezing or threading the area(s) to be treated **
Tanning Beds **
Extra pigment in the skin will always negatively impact the success of laser treatments and light based treatments including BBL. It is important to be at your lightest skin color possible to ensure the most success during the course of your sessions (and completion of sessions in a reasonable number of treatments).
Self-Tanners **
Extended Sun Exposure **
Chemical Peels of any type
Retinoid Products
One year prior to your treatments discontinue use of Accutane.
**Items marked with an asterisk DO NOT APPLY to Electrolysis and Microdermabrasion.
With ProFractional treatments: Please avoid taking aspirin/Ibuprofen 3 days prior to treatment. Do not drink caffeine the day of your procedure and no alcohol for two days prior to your procedure. Remember to take your prescription of Acyclovir starting 3 days prior to treatment (if applicable).
PLEASE NOTE: Permanent Choice does have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you wish to cancel or change this appointment please let us know no later than 24 hours prior to this appointment time to avoid incurring the late cancel fee.
It is very important that you inform your technician at the consult of any/all of the pre-treatment precautions that concern you.
